Bought this for my 10 year old daughter who likes creating outfits and she loves it, spending hours designing outfits and re-designing again and again. It’s appears well made so should last. We had the material bundle that came with it and have supplemented it with other materials we found so she has more choice.
FAQ
Can you make outfits for any Indian ceremony?
Yes, we are used to making traditional and modern Indian clothing for almost any Indian festivity or ceremony you can think of. Our work has included outfits for Tamil and Pakistani weddings, custom Lehengas for Mehndi's, weddings and parties, and costumes for Eid and Diwali celebrations. We can also create bespoke outfits for Indian destination weddings and parties abroad.
From traditional Bhangra dresses and Punjabi suits for religious events to Desi wedding and party outfits, we cover all types of Indian apparel and design.
How long does it take for a bespoke order?
We suggest a typical lead time of 4-6 weeks for creating a bespoke, made-to-measure Indian outfit. The longest part of the process is fabric selection and sourcing. We may be able to complete your order more quickly, but depending on the complexity, it can take a little longer.
Do I have to pay extra for alterations on a bespoke garment?
One round of minor alterations will be included in your quoted price. If the customer supplies their own measurements, additional alterations will be quoted and charged separately.
What is the process for a bespoke order?
I work with the customer however they feel most comfortable and provide a tailored, friendly service to match their needs. We start by sharing ideas and mood boards to establish what the finished product/s will be.
Once finalised, rough computerised images of the garment or outfit will be supplied. This will include all specifications on fabrics, techniques, embellishments etc. I commission my tailor to select fabrics for the brief and present which materials may be most suitable. The customer can then select their preferred choice from the options supplied. For sizing, customers can choose from a made-to-measure option or standard sizing. If you are happy to take your measurements, a comprehensive guide will be sent. Once completed, the magic can begin!
Do you do matching family Indian fashion design and twinning clothing?
One of the reasons Sarees by Marisha was set up was due to the lack of matchy-matchy, twinning outfits available in the Indian fashion and clothing space. We love to create matching mother and daughter, father and son, brother and sister and sibling Indian clothing.
