Mashquin is a safe, clean, and hands-on activity for children of all ages (we recommend from 3+ with a little supervision). It takes a simple mini desktop mannequin, a supply of captivating and colourful fabrics, textiles and accessories, and a stash of dressmaking pins. It gives your child the freedom to explore fashion, design, and culture in an environmentally friendly way. There's zero waste, and the mannequin and materials can be reused time and time again. Your Mashquin kit comes with its own reusable, portable storage box, so you can take it wherever you travel.

Mashquin is a desktop mannequin designed to stimulate the senses and busy the mind. Children will spend hours pouring over colourful fabric swatches and sparkling trims to create stunning outfits for their mini-mannequin, giving you some much needed peace and quiet, I’m sure. This fantastic indoor activity is suitable for both children (3+) and teenagers and guarantees a lengthy break from screentime.
I designed the Mashquin to be used precisely like its full-sized sister; children can pair and drape colourful fabrics around the bodice to create ball gowns, costumes, patterns, and anything else their imagination invents.
Mashquin can be enjoyed as a craft activity to bond the whole family or as an educational tool for budding young fashion designers to learn about fabrics and trims, while dreaming of their creations strutting down the catwalk.

1 x Desktop mannequin
Wooden base (10cm diameter), adjustable wooden pole (extends to 63.5cm) and polystyrene bodice (8.5 x 30cm).
1 x Dressmaker Pack
Five pieces of quality dressmaking fabric (min. 30 x 30cm), three pieces of trim (min. 50cm) and a set of dressmaker pins. Additional fabric bundles are available to purchase here.
1 x Reusable storage box.
Kids questions;
Can I choose the dresses (fabric swatches) my Mashquin comes with?
I’ll choose five of my prettiest, most colourful fabrics to send with your Mashquin, but if you do have a favourite colour, then ask your Mummy or Daddy to send me a message via my website to let me know.
Can I use any fabric to decorate my Mashquin or just the stuff you send me?
Once you have your Mashquin, you can dress her up with any materials, accessories and bits and bobs you have at home (as long as your parents say it's okay to use). So why don't you see if you can turn an old T-shirt into a princess ball gown?
Where does my Mashquin live when I am finished playing?
You Mashquin comes in her very own reusable storage box so that she can be stored neatly and get a good sleep before your next creation session.
How long do I have to wait for my Mashquin?
Once your parents have placed their order, your very own Mashquin will arrive at your door within five working days.

I've always been fascinated by the colours and embellishments of traditional Sarees. So after thriving in my Fashion Design degree at De Montfort University, Leicester, I decided to create a vibrant kid's collection full of tradition that concentrates on a fit more suitable to children who burst with energy and love to run and play.
I'm on a mission to reduce fabric waste, so I created the Mashquin to repurpose offcuts while inspiring the next generation of creative minds.
