About Marisha

At Marisha Mistry, creativity, culture, and sustainability come together to inspire my products. Though my journey began with a lifelong love of Indian fashion, specifically sarees and ethnic wear, today the heart of my business lies in creating eco-friendly, handmade baubles and Mashquin fashion design mannequins that spark creativity and celebrate sustainability.

The Evolution of Marisha Mistry
My love for fashion and design started early—after an eye-catching project in textiles during school, I pursued my dreams through university and eventually moved into events. It was when my nieces were born that I found my true calling, designing mini versions of my family’s traditional sarees for them. This sparked the birth of my first venture, Sarees by Marisha, where I designed and created bespoke ethnic clothing for children. However, as I evolved as a designer, I expanded my creativity beyond ethnic wear, venturing into eco-friendly handmade creations.

Sustainable, Creative Designs for All Ages
Today, I channel my expertise into creating unique, sustainable products for both children and adults. My Mashquin mannequins are a celebration of fashion design, allowing young creatives to explore fashion through hands-on learning with eco-conscious materials. Mashquin fabric packs also let children take part in sustainable fashion, experimenting with different designs and patterns.

At the same time, my handmade baubles are one-of-a-kind pieces that add personality and colour to any space. Made from upcycled fabrics, these decorative items are perfect for homes, events, and even as gifts, offering a touch of artistry and culture that celebrates both sustainability and creativity.

Why Sustainability Matters
Sustainability has always been at the core of what I do. As I moved away from children's ethnic wear, I embraced a vision of creating products that are not only beautiful but also kind to the planet. Through eco-friendly baubles and Mashquin, I have found a way to repurpose fabric remnants and create something meaningful. I believe in promoting a circular economy by reducing waste, celebrating craftsmanship, and embracing sustainability in every step of the design process.

A Rich Cultural Legacy
While my current work focuses on sustainability and creativity, my designs still honour the richness of Indian culture. From my early days designing ethnic wear to my current creations, I’ve always been inspired by the stunning fabrics, vibrant colours, and the traditions passed down through generations. It’s a privilege to showcase these elements in a modern context, where heritage and sustainability meet.

I’m excited to continue this journey, crafting unique baubles, Mashquin mannequins, and creative fabric packs that allow others to express themselves while contributing to a more sustainable world.

Looking Ahead
Whether you’re here for a custom bauble, a Mashquin design experience, or simply to explore the creative possibilities, I look forward to creating something special for you. Every piece I design tells a story of sustainability, creativity, and heritage—values that I hold close to my heart.
